My Story

I was born in Montreal, Québec, fourteen years ago. Right now, I am living in Laval and attending L’École d’éducation International de Laval. I only started attending this school after moved on May 2007. I am ninth grader who doesn’t really know what she wants to do but thinks she’d enjoy a job in Game Designing. I also wish to publish a book sometime soon …

I have been watching anime since childhood and though I didn’t know that those ‘cartoons’ was anime, I did know that I absolutely loved those ‘cartoons’. Later on, when I was 10, my friends introduced me to Inuyasha, which started airing on YTV. It was because of Inuyasha that I went on the internet and learned what the word ‘anime’ was. I have not stopped watching anime since. My favorite anime of my childhood (I say childhood but I’m not even 15 yet ==;) is probably Card Captor Sakura and Inuyasha.

Since then, I have started watching anime and learning more about Japanese visual Culture along the way. Today, I know more about Japan than I do of my own country (which is the Philippines- where my parents are born).

I enjoy most genres of anime. I don’t hate any genre in particular, but I will admit I think Harem anime is quite redundant. However, I won’t deny that I prefer anime with a variety of males in them.

On september 2006, I started watching Gravitation. At first, the idea of homosexuals was just plain discomforting but the idea grew on me and I ended up like BL and such. It wasn’t until I watched Naruto that I began to discover the wide world of Yaoi, though. SasuxNaru ended up being my first fandom. Today, my favorite fandom is Death Note yaoi.

To me, anime is more than hobby and probably less than obsession; a passion. The reason why I love anime so much is still unclear to me … but then again, no one really does need a reason to love something. In my case, I think the reason is close to ‘because it’s an escape’ …

When I’m not watching anime, I enjoy writing poetry and prose as well as playing video games. I love Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and Starcraft, amongst others.

About Psychotic~nya

I started this blog in July 2007 and is my most active blog to date. Most of the time I make a blog and don’t end up really writing in it.

I decided to create Psychotic~nya because I thought that if I had my own real place where I could just rant about anime and such, I’d actually write in it. Right now, I’m still trying to figure out what exactly this blog is about and … well, no result.

This blog occasionally review episodes and anime but most of the time its just me ranting (or writing) about some subject or another. Ranting and drifting off subject is what I do best after all. Anyways, psychotic~nya is basically my personally public place where I can speak my mind as the Fangirl that I am (and proud to be). Hurray fangirl-ism.
